Business Development | Partnerships & Emerging Markets at Gravitational Marketing

Do you know where I can expand my network by more than 30,000 trusted marketers? Oh, wait. I know this one!

The American Marketing Association is the most relevant force and voice for marketers with 30,000+ members worldwide. The Orlando Chapter, AMA-O, will be rolling out the official rebrand to participate in the cohesive “Next AMA” with the rest of the chapters across the country. It’s not just a logo slapped on a pop-up banner, or swag. The Next AMA brand is delivering on a promise to better serve our members and our communities, with new and exciting changes that are just around the corner. Watch the AMA Global Brand Identity video that reflects both the transformation of the AMA and our vision for the future.

On a local level, we are enhancing our members-only events, content & perks like never before. Speaking of, the first members-only complimentary Agency Lunch and Learn will be Sept. 21 at On Target Web Solutions on Content and Content Marketing.

The 2017-2018 AMA-O Board has been working hard and playing hard this summer! We’ve got so much in store for you this year, but I’ve tried to narrow it down to just a few things you can start getting excited about:

  • Marketing with Data Panel – Kicking off the 2017-2018 year will be a content-packed luncheon program! Meet some of the city’s top marketing experts who use data to help inform marketing decisions, either through research, optimizations, or analysis. Get the scoop on how some major brands are using data to guide them through the entire marketing process and how they show stakeholders their data analysis without getting too “in the weeds” with numbers. Stay tuned for details.
  • Regional Retreat – November 10-11, Orlando will be hosting the Southeast Regional Retreats in Downtown Orlando. Save the dates for the opportunities to mingle and collaborate with board members from across the region!
  • New Intellectual Agenda – The “Next AMA” intellectual agenda will focus on the 15 topics we have learned matter most to marketers. You’ll find wide range of marketing ideas, topics, trends and challenges driven by the world’s best academic thinking and by the industry’s foremost thought leaders. With content focused on best vs. next practices in the marketplace, only the AMA has established what we call the “Big Seven” macro-issues for which marketers should have both currency and mastery.
  • Pledge to Serve Collegiate Relations – from scholarship opportunities to programming tailored to recent graduates and young professionals, there will be plenty of ways to give back and help develop future marketing leaders.
  • Education Certification Opportunities – need help studying for the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM)? Whether you are interested in the Digital Marketing or Marketing Management track, we’ve got you covered.

No other organization provides more ways for marketers and academics to connect with the people and resources they need for success. It’s an honor to be a part of the “one voice” of the AMA.

Nearly all of our programming this year is thanks to your feedback from previous years, so please don’t hesitate to keep sharing your ideas & suggestions. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event!

Sincerely,

Katrina de Leon

President
