The Central Florida Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA-CFL) is seeking to showcase the talents of local marketing professionals with the creation of the Marketer of the Year Awards (MOYA).

The awards, which are designed to recognize and applaud marketers for achieving outstanding results from initiatives originating in Central Florida, focus on companies that emphasize and implement excellence in their marketing programs every day of the year.

MOYA has three categories available for entry:

Marketer of the Year “Leadership”: For the individual marketing professional who demonstrated outstanding service to and excellence in marketing.
Marketer of the Year “Critics Choice”: For larger organizations with some depth of resources (over $100,000 marketing budget). For success in advancing the image, brand and/or financial success of their organization.
Marketer of the Year “People’s Choice”: For smaller organizations with fewer resources (under $100,000 marketing budget) or non-profit organizations. For success in advancing the image, brand and/or financial success of their organization.

All marketing campaigns originating between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2012, are eligible. You may submit in one or more categories. The nominee must be a Central Florida enterprise (with explicit authority for the marketing function or specific initiatives) with headquarters or operating offices in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia or Brevard counties. You do not have to be a member of the AMA-CFL to submit an entry to nominate a local marketer for an award. Any public or private company, agency, non-profit, educational institution or government agency may submit an entry. There is no entry fee.


All entries will be judged by Marketing Professors from Prestige Higher Education Institution of the Central Florida region, such as UCF, Rollins College, Stetson University, Full Sail University, and Webster University.


The winners and finalists for each category will be announced by May 21, 2013 and honored at the MOYA awards ceremony on June 6, 2013. The awards ceremony will feature networking from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., and the awards program and lunch will start promptly at 11:30 a.m. The event is being held at the Citrus Club – Downtown Orlando, 255 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32801.
